I am STILL awesome!

Hello faithful fans!

Here is my awesome two part news:

1. Remember my play/master's thesis? It is going to be produced! You can go watch my play in January! Well, you can watch it if you go to Provo, Utah. New Play Project is going to put it on. Feel free to read my name on their website here. You should also notice that the name Eric Samuelsen is on that web site. He was one of my professors at BYU, in fact he was on my Thesis committee. His writing is brilliant. Kind of,it knocks my socks off that we are both have plays put on at the same theater--though the truth is, he could have his plays put on wherever he wants and is just a big fan of New Play Project. Still, how cool is it to be listed with Eric Samuelsen? Too cool.

2. One of the directors wants to make it into a movie! I get to write it into a screenplay (I don't exactly know how to do that but he kindly sent some stuff to read about the process so...how hard can it be?) and he starts filming in August. It's going to be a low budget ($5000) film. I am super excited.

Wow, that is awesome. If, um, I'm not in Provo, how would I go about reading/seeing your play?

WOW! Oh, WOW! I am so excited to hear this news!!

We may have to buy tickets to go to Provo when it's playing so we can see it.

Oh, my goodness, this is so great!

A play and a movie....Well, we are all famous now, too, just by association.

Congratulations!
Just so you know, I am one of your greatest fans.

I, too, am a faithful fan. I would have responded before all these other faithful fans, except that I was out backpacking with my darling grandchildren, as you will be able to read on my not-so-famous blog as soon as I get the photos posted. But back to you. When will it be showing? Maybe we could schedule a visit to Little Miss O then? Please do keep us posted. Love the poem. I mean, I really really really love love love the poem.

I have read all your comments several times because they make me feel so great. Thanks!

Bridget, since you will be in the Middle East you will probably just be able to go to a street corner and pick up a boot-legged copy for a dollar or two. Ha ha. I am so funny. I have no idea. I am sure I will have about a billion copies of the film on my shelf when it is done that I will casually make all my visitors take home and watch. If it's on the internet I'll post a link. If not I will send you signed DVD and I'll make sure I sign the silver, shiny part.

Ali, I forgot you would be there for it! If you wanted you could even audition for it in October.

Kathy, I only know it is showing in January. I don't think they have dates yet. I will definitely post when they do.

Trish and Lisa, Whoop Whoop! Thanks for being excited for me. Whoop whoop!

Did I ever tell you that I had a dream on my mission that was kind of similar to your poem? In my dream I was siting on a couch and Jesus walked in. He was wearing a red polo shirt and khaki pants. His shirt was the same color as his red robe in that famous painting of him. It was really ... I don't know. "Funny" isn't the right word, but it wasn't "spiritual" or "enlightening" either. Maybe it was just nice.

Good poem.
